i never really formally introduced myself. my name is Carla but everyone's been calling me lala for years now. i'm 19 and i live in jersey. i go to Rutgers University where im starting my 2nd yr this fall. my bf's name is kevin. kevin and i have been together for 3 yrs and 10 months now [on and off]. whenever we weren't officially together, neither of us messed around with other people. we've tried breaks but somehow always end up back with each other. the bond we share is more than bf/gf, its more than best friends. we connect on an indescribable level and i love him more than anything. as of right now, we are REALLY great. we were rocky for a lil bout 2 months ago but lately we been gettin more serious and he had a talk with me the other day. he said he really wants to get more seriously involved with me and he wants to take our relationship to a whole 'nother level.. a "new" level.. whatever that is, i dont really care to ask questions.. all i know is we're taking it one day at a time and we're happy :).. if we get to that new level, it'll be together. im in no rush, we'r both young and if our love is as strong as we've trid to buiilt it, then we have all the time in the world. he seems really serious and i jus hope we can move on to that "new level"..

one of the "arguments" that is brought up time and time again by other people is the race issue. i'm hispanic and he is black. to me, its not really a big deal but to others, it is. my question is why does society make it so damn hard for 2 people from different ethnic backgrounds to be together? -sigh- nothing people say affects us but sometimes, i just wonder why.
