All right, I think I officially know more about Time Lords than I ever wanted to know.

In other things. Mum says hi. I had...a passable Valentine's Day. Nothing really beats taking a bag of ice to a guy in the infirmary so he can nurse his wounds on a holiday.

Not the worst in history, but at least nothing insane happened, right? What was it like

All right. Fifth floor common room, then.

Very good.

[Precisely an hour later, Omega arrives at the fifth floor common room. He wouldn't sit unless invited.]

[Rose happens along within minutes of him, a little nervous of course. Time Lords are interesting, but when she's run into one that wasn't the Doctor they never seem to like her much, so she's wary. But then she actually sees him.]

...Doctor?

[There's a hesitation while he seems introspective before he speaks quietly.] That particular incarnation of the Doctor is no longer on board.

Yeah, I knew that but -- [odd look] You look just like him. I didn't know Time Lords could do that.

It's not unheard of, though in my case it was deliberate. [He debates explaining further or just getting straight to Rassilon but he has to foster a relationship with this… woman so he continues.] I was without a body that could survive in the antimatter universe, so I copied one from the Doctor's bioprint.

[She nods] I think I understand. [She gestures to the chairs in the room] D'you want to sit?

[Omega doesn't remark on that, but nods when she offers him a seat.] Thank you.

[She sits down across from him.] So I've read what the Admiral gave me. [Sort of. In short form.] The two of you are really close, aren't you? You and Rassilon, I mean, not you and the Admiral.

Certainly not me and the Admiral. [He smiles, though it vanishes quickly, bringing in a stranger much less a companion of the Doctor's is hard and awkward, no matter how necessary Omega feels it is.] Yes. He's my best friend.

[A nod.] He doesn't seem much interested in interacting with anyone else. Can you see why he might need to, though? Has being here really had much of an effect on him so far, that you can tell?

Oh, I've tried. 'Talk to Narvin!' I said. 'He's my friend and a Time Lord!' [And we know how well that one went.] Then he talked to Brax. And subsequently threatened to hurt him if I didn't tell him to not call him a tyrant. I dissuaded him. And he's stubborn and smug and says with me here, he doesn't need anyone else. And well, I console myself that even if he didn't have me, he'll still be as isolating himself as he is.

As for here, well, it's not the War. And I'm here. I think it might be. But I wouldn't expect miracles. [Another smile, though this one is bitter.] Though I'm told his redemption would be.

If it takes a miracle then I'll find one. [Oddly resolute about this, she is.] I don't know if this is an issue yet but it seems like he's happy just to run to you if he's got problems, and he's said as much.
