Good 2 player games...
I just made a large thoughthammer purchase, in anticipation of a sci-fi con coming up in April, where I will be running the gaming room. If I'm going to be there for 48 hours, I don't want to be stuck playing Monopoly and Uno. Until recently, I didn't own any games, preferring to give games to friends and play mostly at cons. So starting from nothing, boardgamegeek has been a great guide and the online discounts are great. Today I purchased Alhambra, Ra, Carcassone: The City, Through the Desert, Tongiaki, Gheos and Jamba. Yeah I know, I need to stop for a while. But I can't wait to try them out on my friends!
Anyway, I've been looking at Kosmos's line of 2 player games. Was tempted to buy Hellas, but it got mixed reviews for balance. I know of a lot of good games for 3-4 players, but 2 player games are a beast of a different color. In the world of medium euro games, what are your favorite 2 player games? I'm curious to hear what people enjoy.
