A bit star stuck, Steve develops a crush on him but is too shy to tell him. Does he hide it? Is Coulson aware of his crush? If he is what does he do? How the other responds?
Steve squeaked the moment that Coulson walked into the conference room. Thankfully, Tony decided at that moment to say something annoying and end up being smacked by Natasha. Steve's squeaked went unnoticed.
Steve's heart sped up at Coulson's proximity. Thankfully, his face was hidden and no one could see his intense blush. He wondered if Coulson could hear his heart. Steve hoped not. He took the chance to enjoy the warmth coming from the agent.
Steve walked into Coulson's office and melted at the sight of a yawning Coulson. Steve placed Coulson's favorite coffee on Coulson's desk, before rushing out of the office without a word.
Steve had Tony tell him that the best way to let Coulson know was to give him a card, in bright pink paper, with hearts all over it. Steve had made one and had it in his hands, when he heard some agents making fun of it. Steve threw it away. Even though he had worked really hard at the drawing of Coulson drinking his coffee.....
Steve had Darcy tell him that tazering was a great way of showing affection. Steve felt his heart break when Coulson tazered Tony the next day. Who could compete with Tony Stark in the end?
Clint and Natasha told him that Coulson liked donuts. Steve bought Coulson donuts everyday, until he saw Coulson give them away to one of the agents. Steve sulked for the rest of the day.
Bruce informed Steve that Coulson was not feeling well, and that perhaps Steve should take him something to make him feel better. Steve bought a stuffed bear, not knowing what else to buy.
Coulson answered the door and let him in. The first thing that Steve saw when he walked into Coulson's living room was the bring pink card Steve had made, hung up on the wall.
Steve then learned that:
Coulson had rescued it from the trash. He loved the drawing and the pink, and the hearts, and the glitter.
Tazering was not, for everyone, a way to show love.
Coulson gave the donuts away because the other agent had had nothing for breakfast.
Coulson was going to put his newly received stuffed bear in his office and call it Captain.
Two days later, after Coulson had felt better to come back to work, Steve walked into the office with a box of donuts and Coulson's favorite coffe. Sitting on the desk, was Captain, with a white,red, and blue scarf.
