Past Experiences RPing? ::lulzcopypasta:: I've been roleplaying anime (and cartoons) at least since I was 14. I started off playing just with other people one-on-one, and then moved to live journal and learned of playing there. I have been in countless communities, modded and co-modded a few, and am currently in a couple now, playing from 2-4 characters. RP = love, and probably my most favorite thing to do on the internet.
Character
Name: Celestia, Flonne
Series: Disgaea
Age: 13
Sexuality: straight
Occupation: Pokemon Center Employee [in Lilycove City]
Hometown: Lilycove City
Starting Position: Hoenn, Lilycove City
Personality: Flonne believes in... Love. Love, love, love. The joy of loving makes flowers grow and rainbows appear! Yes, she thinks so. She also believes that everyone, and everything, is capable of love, no matter what sort of past they’ve been through, or what kind of being they are. After all, how would the world survive without love?
Flonne’s desire to help people learn the ways of love can get her into trouble. She is naive, clumsy, and quite a bit of a ditz. She earned the title of 'Love Freak' in the video game (Disgaea) by Overlord Laharl. Besides her burning passion for love, she also is rather fond of live-action Japanese films and television dramas that are full of cheesy special effects and super heroes. She could be considered an otaku.
Behind that silly girl is still a person who cares immensely for all living things. She worries when a friend is sad or angry, and will do whatever she can to help them get better. She does not like arguing or fighting, but will stand firmly to protect her beliefs. Flonne can be stubborn to the point of not wanting to listen to someone else’s ideas. Though, in the end, she will most likely try to view things from all sides of the different parties involved.
Background: Flonne has always had a desire to help people. When she was little, her mother passed away and Flonne blamed herself for not being able to do anything for her. Over the years, she got better about this, but still vowed that she would help any person, or Pokémon, she could.
Her father always believed Flonne had a good heart, and Flonne looked up to him. In her eyes, he could do no wrong. He raised a child alone for many years, and always managed to smile. When Flonne got to the age where she started bringing injured Pokémon into the house to heal them, he decided to send her off to train in the Pokémon Center. Flonne swore she would make him proud, and when she was ten, began her schooling.
Being the klutz that she was, Flonne had a difficult time starting out. Still, she continued to push forward, just as her father had done, and worked very hard. She apologized when she toppled over the medicine cabinet. She (whined and) cleaned up the center bathroom when it flooded. She also would have to call Nurse Joy several times during the day when she was left alone.
Now, Flonne is... Still the same. It is very hard for her to look at a Swellow with a broken wing and not bandage up the entire thing. Her passion to help people gets her into trouble if she goes overboard. She is also very naïve, and would most likely even aid a member of Team Rocket, or some other evil organization.
She rarely battles, which is partially the reason why most of her Pokémon are so low-leveled (Also, she does not want Mudkip to evolve because his other forms are not cute!). She uses Blissey the most, when in danger, but usually just ends up whiting out or running away.
Examples
First-Person:
Awww! Cherubi was hurt badly this morning! I just wanted to level her up. She doesn’t have much experience. But I want her to evolve. :( Oh, well. Maybe next time. I just want her to get better. Please forgive me, Cherubi!!
It’s so busy today. I haven’t been able to take a break or go check up on Cherubi. I’m really hungry, too. But there are so many things that need to get done. I can do it, though! I promised Nurse Joy I would work really hard today while she was away! >(
Hello! Welcome to the Pokémon Center! How may I help you? ♥
Third-Person:
"A-Ahhh! I’m so sorry!"
Flonne had done it again. She wasn’t paying attention to where she was going, and slammed right into the back of a bigger, older-looking trainer. He didn’t seem to mind, which was a relief, but said she was probably 'too wimpy,' anyway. Her apologetic demeanor disappeared as she watched him walk away, and she stuck her tongue out at him. And then she felt bad about that.
Was she really too wimpy? She pet one of the Pokéballs on her belt and sighed. Her highest level Pokémon, her Blissey, was only at level twenty. Even her father had stronger Pokémon.
Her father.
Oh, she promised him she would help people. Flonne continued on her way to the Pokémon Center. Work would begin soon, and she would have to get a grip. Well, if she couldn’t prove that she was strong in battling, she would always prove that she was strong at heart... And the battling would definitely come later, because she didn’t want to be called 'too wimpy' the rest of her life...
Yes! She would show them all! Fire burned in her eyes, the passion returning to her once again. Flonne marched off to the center, determined to work hard again today. Maybe she would train later.
