Why assume? (Personal entry, non-fic)
**Warning...Angst/Disquietude Ahead**
Why automatically assume a negative connotation to something someone says or does (or even I say or do)? It reveals the assuming one's inner self. Inflicting a negative motive shows a chronic cynicism and belief that others are out to harm you. It impedes (healthy) communication and destroys relationships.
Give me (or that other person) the benefit of the doubt.
Caution is one thing; this is something entirely different.
*Please note: I am exhorting myself as well. I also need to be more positive and not assume.
