After John is taken by Meg, it is up to the boys to get him back. It's all down hill from there as the final seconds of "Devil's Trap" leave them all close to death. ("Salvation"/"Devil's Trap")
07 The Very Thing You Hunt/It's Okay, Dad:
Two Funerals - Battlestar Galactica OST
As Dean wanders around the hospital not dead, but not quite alive, he finds himself left with one final choice. The haunting vibe heard here reflects the uneasiness all three Winchesters experience in "In My Time of Dying."
08 The Death of John Winchester:
Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis - Master and Commander: Far Side of the World OST
Even though Sam accuses him of taking no action to help Dean, John has made his decision on how to save his eldest son. Fantasia's themes of sadness and death act almost as a wordless dirge. ("In My Time of Dying")

The boys suffer the death of their father in two different ways. Sam is left with guilt as Dean is left with a secret. ("Everybody Loves A Clown")

Maybe it's just the perfect song for an evil virus? lol Sam's fate continues to unfold as an otherwise deadly demonic virus neglects to infect him. ("Croatoan")

Creepy piano for a creepy little girl. ("Playthings")

With My Own Eyes - Atonement OST
DANASHULPSDANASHULPSDANASHULPS. Communicating across the veil is hard work. The sounds of the typewriter in this piece really brings this life. ("Usual Suspects")

10 year deals are coming to an end until Dean intends to stop payment. The climax in this song is great for the end of "Crossroad Blues" as he is tempted to bring his father back to life by offering up his own.

When Dean refuses to kill a possessed Sam, Meg finally surfaces and takes her revenge. ("Born Under A Bad Sign")
15 Purple Nurples:

"Hoisted on his own petard." It's the Trickster's theme. heh. ("Tall Tales")
16 Unfinished Business
Night Mists - Field of Dreams OST
When Molly refuses to leave without her husband, Sam and Dean have to make her see the truth so she can finally pass on. ("Roadkill")

Stay With Me - The Fountain OST
Refusing to accept no for an answer, Sam continues to search for a way to save Madison from life as a monster until finally they both accept her fate. ("Heart")

Love - The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy OST
Dean is surprised to see his mother after a run in with a Djinn. ("What Is And What Should Never Be")
19 No More Pain:
Lasiurus - Batman Begins OST
As Dean begins to realise that what he has is not real, he looks to find a way out. His resolve waivers, though, after his whole life is brought before him and he sees what he would be missing. "Lasiurus" tells this story to me, especially as the end heart-breakingly builds and then dies back into reality. ("What Is And What Should Never Be")
20 What Am I Supposed To Do?:
Adagio for Strings - William Orbit
Barber's Adagio is one of the most haunting pieces of classical music to date, therefore, I found it only fitting to represent Sam's death and Dean's refusal to let go. ("All Hell Breaks Loose Part I")

The Yellow Eyed Demon continues with his plans to release an army as he instructs his new leader, Jake, to open up the Devil's Gate. This theme was made more for Sam's quest after Dean's final death at the hands of the Trickster. After the days continue to pass, Sam becomes more destructive, to the point where he would even take Bobby's life. ("Mystery Spot")
27 And Me:
Will You Help Me? - The Village OST
When Dean finally accepts that who he heard was not his father, Sam is left to pick up the pieces as the deal remains unbroken. ("Long Distance Call")
28 Remember What I Taught You:
Walton: The Death of Falstaff - Leonard Slatkin
Time is up as Dean lies dead a year after Sam's resurrection. ("No Rest For The Wicked")
29 Hope And The Unknown:
The Island Awaits You - The Island OST
I like to refer to this one as "The Return of Dean Winchester" as I know we will get to see him again. But, like the title and the song implies, while there's a bit of hope to be had, what will come after it??
