The never ending to-do list
I went out to trattoria de Stefano last night with my future sister-in-law and the wife of one of the attorneys I work for. The attorney and my brother are friends, so I see him and his wife out socially once in awhile. Anyways, we had a fabulous dinner & bottle of wine. I didn't get to bed until 1 AM and was back up at 6:30 for work. The older I get, the more I notice that my body needs mooooooore sleep in order to function properly.
I made a "Photography Checklist" and "Photography Contract" today. A friend of ours, who is schooling for photography at the moment, will be the photographer on our wedding day. Even though she is our friend, we got to have some kind of written contract. Ken & I are planning on cooking out with her & her husband today, so we will definetly be mixing business with pleasure.
Ken's mom finished our "Save the Date" cards. The only problem is, she made a basic card. I still have to fill in the inside of it. :/ And I have to get them out by July 1!! *sigh* I think what I'm going to do is get what I want the inside to say, get cardstock, print it off, cut them out with a funky scissor and glue them in. I also need to make a small enclosure of the hotels that we are using. Hopefully, I can get this done by my deadline.
I'm thankful for:
1. My job. I've had more hours lately, possibility of more hours in the future and a great bunch of honestly good/nice people to work for and with.
2. My ever loving fiancee. M*A*S*H really stands for My Awesome Sexy Husband (to be)!
3. The strength to turn the negativity of grieving over the loss of mother into something positive that honors her memory and I know would make her proud.
4. The best stress reliever for me: knitting!
5. The wedding, and all that goes with it, will be paid for.
6. The friends that I have chosen to have in my life; so grateful.
7. The dream I had about my mom this past week. Whenever I dream about her, I feel close to her and it brings me peace. Even though she lied to me in my dream. :)
8. Freedom - It's just another word with nothing more to lose.
9. Having such a healthy relationship with my brother and sister.
10. Knowing that I get only one shot at life and to make it the best I can.
