Why not? [She's....lounging over here, looking terribly comfortable probably mostly for the sake of being irritating. And smiling at you, of course, eyebrows arched disdainfully.] Because if you have some grand, clever plan, why - I'm all ears.
No, I already know who tops your list. But you're never going to get to play with him again, and you know it.
[She doesn't take a step back, that would be pointless considering the room is locked and there's no where to go anyway. But she keeps a tight grip on her vervain locket and counts the steps it would take to get to the sturdy-looking silver candlestick holder on the mantel. Just in case Katherine gets any ideas.]
What we should be doing is figuring a way out of here.
[Ooh, nice hit, glare. And...she's not moving, but she's watching the urge go through Elena with a vindictive too-sweet smile, folding her arms across her chest.]
Last I heard, he wasn't all that interested in playing with you, either.
[Yawn, eyeroll, oh-so-tedious - if with a trace of tension. She doesn't like being locked up.] Already tried. And trust me, Elena, if I couldn't get out of here? [Directs a su-per-ior smile over her shoulder.] You aren't going anywhere.
And just what is that supposed to mean? [Elena makes a frustrated face and shakes her head.] Nevermind. I don't care.
You're more deluded than I thought if you actually believe that trusting you on anything is an option. In fact, how do I know you didn't set this whole thing up as some stupid trap for Stefan?
[She gives her a delighted smile. She's met other Elenas in here, but one - her favourite, naturally - didn't remember a damn thing, and the other was on the up and up.] Oh, you don't know yet? Cute. That's very cute. [MOST IMPATIENT OF SIGHS, you are dismissed.] Feel free to, ah, throw yourself against the walls in a futile but terribly brave display.
I'll watch!
If it was a trap for Stefan, would I be stuck in here with his girlfriend? I realize you have a low opinion of me, Elena, but give me credit for a little more discernment than that.
The only thing I'm giving you credit for is being a giant pain in the backside whenever you can. [And she's not going to let on how much Katherine knowing something she doesn't worries her. She's definitely not going to ask, considering that's just what the bitch wants her to do.]
There must be a way out of here. You're supposed to be strong, can't you break down the door? [She tries the handle again, but of course it's still locked tight.] Break a window? Something?
How long have I been a vampire again, Elena? [Her head cocks to the side, smile exquisitely scornful.] Since when have I needed a child to tell me what to do to get out of a pinch?
[Strolls away toward the bed, clearly dismissing Elena. She picks up the dice and rolls them in her hand, thoughtful.] It's already been tried. I imagine we're stuck in here until we accomplish what we're supposed to accomplish.
And what exactly are we supposed to accomplish? [She rolls her eyes, not bothering to point out that Katherine acted more like a child than she ever did, and she didn't seem to be getting out of this pinch without direction anyway.]
[Katherine's smile is delightedly malicious, like this is a question she's just been waiting for Elena to ask. She jounces the dice in her palm for a long moment, then tosses them towards her. Catch or not catch?]
[Startled, Elena only manages to catch one of the small dice, while the other bounces off her wrist and clatters on the floor. She looks down to see what it says, out of reflex.
[Katherine moves closer, toeing it a little with a mock-solicitous pout. This is going better than she'd expected, though she doubts Elena will let it be this easy for long.]
Better roll the other, or it'll be partner's choice.
Remind me again why we're playing this?

[Narrow eyes, and she comes stalking towards her, hips swaying and heels clicking on the floor, looking Elena and down.]
