So I just got back from the Great Glebe Garage Sale, the one day of the year when yuppies, old hippies and university students all get together to sell their shit on their front lawns. There was a lot of good stuff, including a huge vinyl sale, but seeing that I'll be moving soon, I had to eep my spending in check. In the end, I only walked away with a book for Patti called Freeing Theology: The Essentials of Theology in Feminist Perspective, which I bought for $1 from someone who participated in the garage sale without any change for people (what the fuck?). I also got myself a CD by The English Beat that I picked up for $3.
They're a two-tone era ska band that I haven't really been able to get into (or haven't taken the time to get into) until now, so I'm glad I was able to find piled in among a bunch of Ani Drifranco CDs. The fact that ot was so cheap made it all the sweeter.
Other than that I got to hang out with Nat, Chris, Melina and their dog Ginger. Good day.
Now I think I might take a nap.
