Young Rymon Picspam!

I've decided to do some Rymon picspams because I am obsessed, and no one I know in real life cares about all the Rymon pics I have saved on my computer. And I'm posting them on my journal because I've never posted anything on my journal before! I barely posted anywhere until I became Rymon obsessed.

I know that replying to a comment that is almost a year old is going to seem very strange, but since I believe that I'm among understanding Rymon friends here, I hope the judgment won't be too harsh. :D But I was so excited to possibly discover the history behind the red pillow photo that I wanted to share!!! I was going through old Ryan threads at Vote for the Worst (don't ask why, although you can probably guess), when I came across a thread about a Youtube video showing young Ryan hosting the old game show "Click" (the Merv Griffin show that was one of his first jobs in LA). Someone posted the following:

"Someone thought he was hot. I remember years ago when he first started on Star 98.7 in LA. They put up billboards of him reclining on a sofa with his shirt unbuttoned. Around the same time (and before I had seen a billboard), he was on the local morning news show (KTLA)....with the sofa. I couldn't figure out what the F he was doing there. He was just laying there and making snarky comments while the anchors were doing their thing. It is a humorous news program but the sofa thing was too weird. I couldn't figure out why anyone thought he was sexy."

I can't imagine Ryan doing many photo shoots like this for people other than Simon, so it seems like a plausible explanation to me! It fits pretty well, except for the "shirt unbuttoned" part (he's clearly not wearing ANY shirt, but I think that detail would be easy enough to misremember if you are not an obsessed fan!). And, oh god, what I would pay to see some of this KTLA footage! "Laying there making snarky comments" sounds like my favorite kind of Ryan (as well as a premise for some good fanfic, hee).

Oh, and the clip of "Click" is worth watching too, if you haven't seen it before. :)

You're like a detective! This explanation makes sense to me, although the idea of him lounging on a couch being snarky(without Simon lying next to him ;D)does seem odd. I'd love to see it though! lol
