Yay New Years

Jan 02, 2005 22:14

My computer sucks, so the last few times I've tried to update since being back home in Texass for break, it freezes up right as I finish an entry and so I lose it and get too annoyed to rewrite it.  Let's see if it'll work this time..
First, of course...surveys.  Surveys are my favorite.

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before? Lived in a foreign country (England)!
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I never make them...although it has nothing to do with the new year, but it's the fact that it's my last semester of college, I am pledging to work on job searching and networking
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Nope
4. Did anyone close to you die?No
5. What countries did you visit? The Netherlands, England, Belgium, Italy, Canada
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004? More happiness in my love life...right now, it's going on the right track finally! :)
7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? December 12, 2004...Joe and I deciding to give things a second chance
8.What was your biggest failure? Being careless with other people's feelings
9.Did you suffer illness or injury? Yes, nothing major.  I very pesky and LOUD cough in London that kept my flatmates up and losing my voice for the first two days I was home for Christmas break last week
10.What was the best thing you bought? I got a lot of good t shirts this year...like "Good girls go to heaven, bad girls go to London," and "I heart nerds"
11.Whose behavior merited celebration? Stephanie Isabel
12. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Appalled - the people who studied abroad and partied every night and spent what I spent on groceries in 2 weeks in one night out at the bars! Depressed - probably someone who did something bad I read about in the news
13. Where did most of your money go? Playing in London, rent
14. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Living in London, going to Italy for Spring Break, going to Disneyland with Joe
15. What song will always remind you of 2004? No question...LEAN BACK
16. Compared to this time last year, are you: happier or sadder? Happier
ii. thinner or fatter? About the same
iii. richer or poorer? Much poorer
17.What do you wish you'd done more of? Read books not for classes
18.What do you wish you'd done less of? Drunk dial
19. How will you be spending Christmas? Spent the day with the family, went out to bars with Aaron and his crazy friends until 4 am
20. Did you fall in love in 2004? I realized I was still in love with someone, so...sort of
21. How many one-night stands? None
22. What was your favorite TV program? The news

32. What kept you sane?--My amazing friends
33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? John Mayer and John Cusack
34. What political issue stirred you the most? The election
35. Who was the best new person you met?[or re-met] A lot...everyone I met while abroad, like Kieran, Steph (getting a new girlfriend is always better than getting a boyfriend!), Jayme (the only person who really understands what I mean when I say I hate Vija Udenans), Sarah Ryman (I'm going to miss that princess while she's off in the Andes!)
36. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004: It all works out in the end.  If it hasn't worked out, it's not the end.
37. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year: "Life goes on."
