Yesterday I celebrated 717 by getting a haircut, trying on lots of dresses,
and watching two episodes of Mad Men.
My roommate, Mike, has a friend who is also from MI (Chris) who works at the Arrojo salon. (You know, the dude that gives the haircuts on What Not To Wear.) At one point when Chris was cutting the back and my hair was all combed forward. Suddenly, there was a smiling Nick Arrojo bending down to say hi. haha!
Chris did an amazing job. I looove it. The back looks exactly how I was hoping.
No luck with the dresses, but I am going to look at a few other places tonight after work.
Now here is a list of stuff I am presently really into:
OK, I got hooked on the sweetened green tea lemonades from Starbucks, but at $3 for a "tall", I was having a hard time justifying them. Then I found this, Honest Tea, Citrus Energy. It's organic, the right amount of sweet, the right amount of caffeine and the right amount of lemon. I don't like that it is in plastic, but their label boosted my confidence: "Plastic vs. Glass: We've introduced plastic bottles because there are many places where glass can't go. PETE (1) is fully recyclable, doesn't leach (really?!), and requires less energy to produce and ship."
SEI Water. It was overpriced when I bought it, but if Honest Tea was right and (1) recyclables don't leach, I will use this as my water bottle every day. It is flat. That means: it fits in my bag. Perfectly. The downside: the security team at work, who search the bags as they go through the X-ray machine, thought I was bringing a flask to work. ha!
