I saved a Kitty today...
This cat caught my eye as I was going to adopt this other kitten...He is white and grey spotted with a black nose and beautiful green eyes. As the adoption chick was going to take the card for this kitten I couldn't let go of it and had my finger pressing it into the counter as shes trying to pull it out I said, "wait...is the cat surrendered yet?"
This young woman looks up with tear's streaming down her face and say's "No, I'm filling out the papers' still". I said, "Is he a good outside cat? I haven't been able to take my eyes off of him, he's magnificent". She told me that he was an outside kitty and that she couldn't keep him couped up inside anymore, that it wasn't fair...and I said perfect...she spent nothing and neither did I, he got to keep his 'man'hood and she took the my number I gave her so she could check to see that he was in a good place, she looked so heart broken...We put him in a carrier box and left. My mom is trying to act like a hard-ass about it, but I can tell she missed having a cat too and that she really liked this one particularlly. His name is "Idgy", from "Fried Green Tomatoes", the girl told me. He'll keep that name for her.
