Still waiting for the final tally and lawsuits and vitriol to be over. This election cycle has twisted my stomach, given me headaches, and stressed me out. And now we have to wait.
In this current interlude of hell, I've been trying to help my personal mental health. A healthy me is a reading me, and so I've been trying to work recreational reading back into my schedule. Oh, I've been reading, but it was mostly news, which wasn't helping me to relax and enjoy life. Since the library has been managing socially-distant lending, some of my holds have shown up...and discarded. Two of the books didn't make the eighty-page official decision point; however, the third, "
Hench" by Natalie Zina Walschots did.
Walschots has created her heroes and villains with infrastructure. You have henches and kicks and meats and, well, office staff for all the big shots. Our protagonist's great power? Spreadsheets. Read this clever book to see how information is the greatest super power there is.
