My parents sent Jen and I a holiday card, in which they wished us a Happy Yule!

I didn't remind them. I didn't ask them. I didn't even mention it until the day of Yule itself, at which point they had already sent the card several days earlier. They thought of it on their own!
This is, quite possibly, the greatest gift I could ever receive. Acknowledgment from my parents, of their own accord, that I celebrate a holiday this time of year which is not Christmas.
