Oh so much to prattle about.

Take your pick.

Anyone who knows me long enough would have heard that my highschool-friend-turned-backstabbing-thief, who had asked custom art from me to post to a Monster Rancher forum he's a member of; until I had the internet at home and opened my gallery in VCL. I still remember it was Pico who notified me about it.

Turns out things are going really shitty for him. Unable to study or get a job, has some crippling health problem or another, and is essentially a welfare baby from this point on.

Karma?

Despite going through the experience dry like a salted fish, Eurofurence wasn't so bad. In fact, now that I know better I'm confident my next trip would be more fun and I should be well hydrated.

The crux of the problem now is to somehow justify the next trip. My folks were right, I could've gotten more if I had joined a tour. For the same kind of money I spent for a 5-day EF trip, I could've toured the whole of Berlin for 11 days.

So, I have to make it worthwhile. I don't know, find a friend to stay with, tour their hometown before setting off together for the con. I'm still thinking, the sale average from this year's artshow has me cautiously wondering if I can even cover back my registration fees and still not be able to visit Suhl during the day.

It has me somewhat concerned about theft-for-profit as I move away from the fandom where it all began and start swimming with the big sharks. Already my dragons that AEG commished had be subject to many thefts and even tattooing, but this takes things to the next level. Unlike fan thefts, they're not profitting from it.

I can only hope the kind of detail I put into my stuff is a potential deterrent and hell on Flash's bitmap trace.

Furry porno isn't so bad after all. The only theft related problem I might have to deal with is uncreative parasitic tarts who just wants to bask in the big boy's rays without all the hard work; and the money's good. Oh if not for reality, I can't anthro titties for tax cuts and pension funds.

Back to commercial theft though.
My faith in the Creative Commons License is not very strong, but it would provide some measure of protection. Like a thick book stopping a bullet, at least its something, non?

A recent trip to Central Market, the crafts hub in town, revealed a massive renovation that happened in the 7 odd years since I was last there. One of the corner where KFC used to be was knocked open and turned into shoplots housing... printers.

Buttons, namecards, and... shirts. As big as an image that I want, front and back. Not limited to the A4 like Cafepress or Zazzle had; all for an average of $10. One store has those print-directly-on-shirt machines.

Gonna go get try for a few shirts and see how they are.
If all goes well, then maybe I can finally get an extra item to sell. Or make customised presents.

Despite it being a muslim holiday, the biggest noise polluter now is chinese. I don't mind the Jade Emperor's birthday, personally, they used to have good singers belting out classics.

Now it sounds like they can only afford pantsless hobos, drunk uncles, and 70 year old housewives with a dozen frogs shoved down their throats.
