So he died at the age of 90. I had no idea he was still alive but I'll miss him. He was the author who made sci fi accessible to me and I religiously read all the books I could get from the library. Even re read a few, like Childhood's End (which inspired David Gilmour no less!) and the Space Odyssey series (although he lost it on the fourth of that book, but 2001 and 2021 were excellnt).
However, he was not only a good writer, but able to predict how we'd use satellites when others doubted him. He predicted man would be on the moon by the 1970s and was right (1969!). And also Wind From the Sun? Yep, solar energy!
I'll miss you. There will be none like you for a good long time.
