Well, first off, I want to talk about this storming out of the Lib Dems. What a kerfuuffle. The mild mannered Lib Dems, likened to lily livered cowards politically, the conscience of the House.. They have teeth! Ed Davey is not the most prepossesing sort I have to admit. He looks like any politician, swarthy, losing his hair and the like. But he has a fire burning within and he took it out on the House. Which was not full going by the pictures. Not that Josef Broon would notice in any case. Since he's barely noticed his party are shit-scared of him, he wouldn't know the Lib Dems from the Tories.
In any case, there was no point to the walkout. Why? Because it was about the EU referendum. And Broon doesn't show signs of letting a referendum through. He closed the idea of Super cainos, he can put the kaybosh on this. And he has. If you don't believe me, you remember that he weas late to that signing of the treaty? Wel, he was refuting it was a snub, but it was. He doesn't like Europe. He's more Eurosceptic that any Tory and more so than Maggie Thatcher. The Iron Chancellor sees it as a cash cow, but nothing more. EU is good for trade but not for the laws. Like a very very ancient ally, Portugal, he is keen to keep the laws of the EU out.
So this is why the walkout was useless. Don't get rowdy, get even! And that's accomplished by scuppering a few major laws..
Now onto organic food. Does it improve health? Does it aid the regeneration of the planet? Hell, will it save the polar bears!?
No.
Because all you need to to do to improve health is to eat a variety of food. A good colour of veggies and fruit, with balanced proteins, carbs and such. That's it. Simple as, eh? The merchandising is however very effective. The Benecol says it can reduce your cholesterol. I can cut mine by not having so much fat and actually eating better. In fact I lost fat because my diet is more to my needs and I have reduced my cholesterol from that. Easy! Probiotic drinks? No thanks. If I want to influence the composition in my gut, I'll let you know. Besides the proof they work is vague. And might not be so good for you.
It is clear that the major culprit is advertising. They make out the universal panacea is in iving green. But to live green, we must live as we used to. WE must dispose of our good, stop treating the earth as a waste ground for toxicity. Must forage. In other words, to save the polar bears we have to live as cavemen. Okay, how many people are willing to do that? I can say hand on heart, I am not. I couldn't live in the wild. But Ray mEars would be in no danger. In fact... let me tag along with Ray Mears and I'll be okay!
And final story is that Prozac doesn't work. Well, what do you knw? All the stuff I knew from nurses is true! They've been saying for years how the drugs don't work, they just make you worse. Oh music moment! Anyway, doctors get paid for plugging the treatment. Doesn't work, but flog it anyway, it pays for my holiday. Booked it, packed it, fucked off for another month in San Tropez. Thank you Prozac! So it makes the doctors feel good, but not so the patients who have to have it. Because these things are addictive as sin.
I was on antihistamines once. They made me drowsy and I felt sick. And when working on a line, I have to be awake. To be working, I have to be awake. My essays were shit compared to being off the pills. Oh and it NEVER solved my hayfever! I was still sneezing. I will use honey instead. At least it tastes nice and I don't feel like shit next day in work. So how are peope going to cope when the resources to make these things run out? Well.. I wouldn't bet on the manic depressives surviving a day. I really don't.
That's the news bulletin for the day, over and out!
