It's no for-sure thing that I'm going to get promoted any time soon, but my Store Manager and both Shift Managers on my shift are rooting for me...which can't hurt!

There are things I'm looking forward to *if* I get an Assistant Manager position (and the $12k raise that will come with it)

1)  I want to buy a motor cycle.  Nothing too elaborate, no Harley or anything like that, just a nice crotch rocket to get me back and forth on the 1 hour drive without using a lot of gas

2)  I am looking forward to being able to go hiking on my days off.  With the item from number 1 I will be able to burn a tank and go up to PA to hike around a little bit, hell even up to Newark to spend time at White Clay Creek would be a plus

3)  I am looking forward to buying back my boyfriend.  It seems bad to say, but I know it's true.  He has lost a lot of interest in me since we are broke and he is living just like he did at his Parent's house...coming home every day with nothing to do but spend his time on his computer.  It's a shame that I should have to buy my way back into his heart...

4)  I am looking forward to being able to go camping again with Kyle.  I own all my own camping gear, have for years, and it's really inexpensive to do, but getting to your campground costs gas money...which is something I just haven't had lately.  With the Manager salary I will have something to the tune of $500 extra a month, I really want to spend some of that getting back to mother nature with my best friend.

I know, I know, I shouldn't get a head of myself, but these are things I want so I figure setting a goal to get them won't hurt.  If I don't dream bigger than I am living now I won't strive to be more than I am now.  Some people call it getting my hopes up, I call it motivation.  That is my goal, I will get into management this year.
