So friday night, Jeff went to bed after mixing what he thought was Percocet and lots of alcohol. Some time Saturday morning (i think the time line is correct) his girlfriend noticed he wasn't breathing and was all purple. She called an ambulance.
At first they didn't think he would make it, his brain had been too long without oxygen. After being on a breathing tube for about a day, he showed some signs of getting better. he does have some brain activity, but he goes into a panic mode when he wakes up cause of the tube, so they have him heavily sedated. At some point sunday he suddenly tried to get up and pull out of the restraints.
I went in to visit tonight, he can hear everything going on around him, he is fighting the sedatives to try and move. His kidneys are not working. He could have really extensive brain damage...he could even just be capable of basic motor functions and moving...or he could make an amazing recovery. It's too early to tell.
I told Crystal (his sister, i've known her for about 8 years now) that I'll be back tomorrow.
I care about him a lot, this is hitting me pretty hard
