Have You Seen Me Lately?
Hey. Howdy. Yo. Yeah. I try to avoid talking about myself on this thing… but I haven’t heard from most of you in a few weeks so I’ll give you a little update.
School is over… finally. I finished with a 3.7 for the year and 31 credit hours. College was fairly easy, but I definitely put a lot of work into it, consider I never studied in high school. Next fall (around September) I will be living at the College Towers apartments. It’s a very spacious one bedroom, with my very own living room, bathroom, and kitchen (even a dishwasher). Plus I have a balcony overlooking the beautiful city of Kent (whoop). It should be much better than my cramped dorm. No more taking showers with other dudes and shitting on the same toilet as ten other people. Hell yeah. Since most of my eligible friends (actually, ALL) dropped out on me I’ll be living alone… sigh. Still, it’s probably better that way. Anyone is welcome to visit.
After an hour and a half interview (with 2 different people) I got a job at Best Buy in Cuyahoga Falls. I’ve worked there like 4-5 times thus far. It’s a pretty decent job. Today I stocked the Latin CD section for hours. I got to look at sweet Latino gangsta CD’s and old Mexican’s in cowboy hats. It was amusing. The job is a heaven compared to the local DQ run by the hairy wife swapping Roger Angel. My boss has never yelled at me, only given me compliments (gasp)! I’m not use to that. I also get a swell deal on the merchandise. I only pay 5% over whatever Best Buy gets it from the manufacturer for. It depends on the markup, but I can sometimes save tons of money this way. I’m currently thinking of purchasing a $400 TV for like $220 with my discount… not bad. If you ever want to visit me I’ll either be in the CD, DVD, or video game sections. So far I’ve only seen Brandon Paul and Devon Degenero at the store. I told Devon not to steal anything.
I modded my Xbox with my cousin the other day. I put a huge 250 GB hard drive in it with a xenium ice chip. Took some time to do. Probably more time than it should have. Damn d0 wire. Anyway, I put on like 20 games and a whole shit load of media. Then sadly the next day my box stopped working. I’m hoping it’s just the bios, if not my mod chip is fried…maybe I should have soldered the ground? We’ll see. Anyway I’m kind of pissed about that. Let’s change the subject.
I’m thinking of going to Casino Niagara once again. They just opened a decent sized poker room last month. If anyone wants to go let me know. It will probably only be for the night… hell I’ll probably sleep in my car or a back alley if a hobo is nice enough to lend me his cardboard box. In all honesty, I would recommend you bring a few hundred bucks. However, my first time there I got by with only spending $50 on casino sucker games like black jack etc, and had many hours of entertainment. (plus another $50 for Canadian alcohol, and another $100 for my share of the jacked up New Years hotel rates). This time it’s all about poker though. I also think I’m going to deposit some money at party poker and try my luck. I’d probably only play the 10 player tourney sit down games because I find I’m a much better tournament player than cash player.
Ah well, so that’s what I’ve been doing lately. I’m living at my mom’s in Kent for most of the summer. Call 677-0522 if you wish. Sometimes I’ll be at my dads’ however, doing some construction and stuff when I’m not at Best Buy.
