The Who concert was fantastic! And packed to the brim!!

Even though I got there like 3 hours early, I missed the opening act which was the Pretenders, because "someone" was late. *cough* slow driver *cough*

I had the tickets so I couldn't just run in without Angel, they kinda were big on the no re-entry.

However, did I mention The Who were fantastic?!!! People screaming, I think they manage to play all there hits, and even did an encore of 4 more songs. At the end of Baba O'Reily, which was not even an encore song, people were standing and clapping for like 3 solid minutes, so they had to wait before starting another song.

Totally cool!!

Who are you? Who Who, Who Who!

Saturday night was the Big B-day fest. Good to see people that I only see now about once a year. Actually if it wasn't for Radiant there would even be more in that category, but now I'm actually seeing some of them up to 5 times a year. Crazy I know!

Did the traditional dinner at the Sunset Grill in Boston for the Birthday boy, yards and half yards everywhere. Not me. Not a fan of beer. I'm amused that the Sunset no longer has glass yards, it's all plastic now. Probably a good idea!:) It was awesome to see Jayne who hasn't shown up for this party in years get attacked by so many people with the "Oh My God, You made it!!! I haven't seen you in FOREVER!!!" hug.

I had a conversation with Lorne that really could have ended 10 seconds after it started. Yes, I understand that it was meant as a compliment I get that. I get that's how guys think. What I'm amazed at was the way chose to verbalize it! :)

Then went down the road to the Kells. Nice short walking distance keeps everyone from trying to re-park in an already crowded city.

I had lots of fun, did some dancing, was requested to be wingman - which was part of a hilarious conversations about pilots and flying that made no sense whatsoever. The end of it being that I was to keep Mal from drinking anything that was on fire. He really didn't want that. I think I managed to keep that from happening, though he did disappear from my sights on occasion and hey, you can ask everyone, I ran around that bar looking for you dammit!! Next time give me some warning when you run off!!!

Unfortunately once again no brawls were started. Wes totally sally'd out. (We're aiming for St. Patty's day now.) However I might have punched a few guys, not that hard though, on behalf of Mal. What? Gotta protect my... pilot? Hey, it all made sense at the time and that's the important thing!

Danced with Buffy and Anya, who was the social little butterfly who I didn't get to spend as much time with, but that was okay. It looked like she was having fun (which was the intended goal). I even pulled some "Solidarity Sisterness" to make her feel better. :)

It was actually a pretty mellow event this year. Still good mind you. Just thankfully without too many people throwing up or passing out in the corner. Then again it could change again next year and be just as crazy as years past, so I'm reluctant to use the word "maturing" when talking about this group.

And sadly there was the typical drama. It seemed a little bit more low-key this year, but if you knew where to look or ask the right questions it was there. I'm thinking that I need to get in touch with a few people, who I actually care about, and talk to them. The rest are filed into "meh" or "already know the score". And no, it's not all about me, thankfully.

It's just sad that it seems like instead of actually talking to each other friends rather gossip and speculate and not fix perceived problems with friendships. It's like actually preferred to talk about them in hush corners never actually solving anything or finding out the truth.

These things don't solve themselves you know.

Drama.

Aren't we all supposed to be friends? Okay, I get that some of us are just acquaintances, but aren't most of us supposed to be actual friends?

And last but not least, what is our traditional Birthday-fest without the drunken admissions of "I love you guys" being tossed around? Followed by a "you are doing a shot with me!" Not from me though I was a sober little puppy when I was shouting out my "I love yous", and they indeed were genuine (not to say that anyone should doubt the drunken admissions of love - I believe they are the Birthday Boy's specialty). I miss my girlies, they live too far away. And Birthday boy, at least I saw him a few more times this year than usual, which was a nice change! And add in others I've become reacquainted with over the past year (Yes, Gentle - that's you), and others I've known for a while, but only recently started really hanging out more with (Oz, Malcolm, & Book).

Love you all!! Now here's hoping come next year we can cut out some of the drama okay?:)
