Very busy yet good weekend was had by me.
Sweet, wonderful, amazing, generous Doyle came by after his work on Friday to hang out a bit with Buffy and I and then give me a much needed massage. As I anticipated he questioned me on the what the heck have I done to my neck and shoulders?!?! I dunno!! But please fix!!!! Some drooling and possible snoring later I felt so much better. Much love sent his way!!!
Now if I can just keep from screwing myself up worse (so says a girl headed into a LARP this weekend)
Saturday was a blur of (much too early rising) activity. Went to Wog's soccer game. Met up with Anya and her spawn there. Then Buffy and I took all the kids and brought them back to her place for a playdate. Which occillated between huge amounts of ruckus and occasionally having me to suddenly pull out the adult voice (as opposed to running around playing hide n' seek with them) to them playing sweetly and quietly with each other. Beans is my favorite right now as she was the quietest non-screechiest of the bunch and who sat her seat all dinner and actually ate it. Plus she calls me "Auntie Roo!" Pickle came in second because she finished her dinner, but she along with the other two maniacs would not keep their butts in their seats and kept getting up every 5 seconds. There were many times I thought about asking if using superglue to keep them still would really be wrong?
Had Buffy's hubby refer to her and I as members of the man-hater's club. Geez, one vacation to Atlantic City with the girls and we are man-haters meanwhile a bunch of the guys have gone to Vegas (in fact they just got back Sunday) several times without inviting any girls and we are the haters?!? THPT!!!
I told him that I should be so lucky that my problem is hating men, my problem is I like men. A lot! He got a chuckle out of that. :)
Anya came by later and we has some much needed girlie time!
Sunday Buffy and I had our Cinnabon breakfast/lunch which much yayness and peacefulness as we left the kids with her hubby. Bless him! We then hit the mall for a bit to kill some time and use some coupons and had a guy ask us if we were college students. Okay, maybe he was trying to sell us something but it couldn't have been all flattery as he was wondering if we had student ID's. Still - Nice!:)
Then I headed off to stop by a quick visit with Angel before heading home. As a Cinnabon does not cover three meals for the day (two without a problem easy) we went to a Japanese Steakhouse located near him for dinner. Ah, yes, that might get me to visit him more often!:)
Hey, I still get the sniffles when I drive by the one two minutes down the road from me that was knocked down and turned into a diner. A diner!?!?! The horror!! I am still not pleased about that!
Finally heading on home (honestly why hasn't the teleporter been invented yet?!!? Have requested Angel have his company use there brainiac think tank to invent that instead of further ways for people to stay home 24/7 on their butts getting fat and lazy - he said he would look into that. I suspect he may be lying to me.) to perturbed kittys who *knock on wood* did not manage to throw up or beat the crap out of each other while I was gone. Seems the timed food dispenser might have done the trick. I'll keep my fingers crossed while I test it out further.
Mystery of Sunday night: Why was my bedroom light on when I arrived? Hmm as much as it would be nice to believe that the kittys were welcoming me home and into my much missed bed it's doubtful they've learned to clap. Then again it's sensitivity to noises that aren't clapping is very amusing to me. So far the list includes: Sneezing, *ahem* the throws of passion *ahem*, and vacuuming.
What?
Yes, I said vacuuming. ;)
