Spent the night before the Day of Thanks starting a
Rock Band!!
Booya Baby!!!!
Warren got Rock Band and invited a few of us over to play.
I mostly played Lead Guitar but I got to try out the skins for a little while. I wasn't too bad. Not awesome. But I didn't fail more than I succeeded which is always nice. Though it always depends on the song.
He played Bass. Which he is never allowed to do on Bon Jovi's "Dead or Alive" again. Practically no bass in that song. He took a nap!
Kaylee played drums and switched out a bit with Zoe.
And Forrest sang until his voice broke. Then Zoe picked up for a while, even with her "I don't know this song" manta - girl kept getting 5 stars!
And an occasionally guest vocals by Xander on the Beastie Boys' "Sabotage" when he wasn't busy being Roadie. :)
I'm seriously considering picking up the game just so I can practice more drums, oh or even singing. In the privacy of my own home. Where no one can hear me massacre a song vocally. I can't carry a tune with a bucket people!
Maybe I'll pick up
Guitar Hero III first. Or maybe just skip to Rock Band. Don't know. But sooooo considering it!!!!
Seriously, it was a lot of fun!
And of course my fellow bandmates rocked!
Low key, entertaining, and above all it did not involve me making a 2 hour drive at 4am like last year. Not that I didn't have fun last year in Fishkill - but it's a killer on hanging with the family the next day. I ended up taking a nap at my Aunt's house last year!
