Ok HERE WE GO:
On the city of Amsterdam:
It is so beautiful. i was expecting some run down sketchy piece of shit....however the buildings are beautiful and the streets are rather quaint and there is water running through the whole city...so there are boats and little lit up bridges you walk accross. aww how pretty. It is also safer that i would have imagined it to be. ALTHOUGH IT DOES GET SKETCHY LATE NIGHT....ESPECIALLY AROUND THE RED LIGHT DISTRICT and about ever 4.1 seconds someone says, "ECSTASY/COCAINE"
On the RED LIGHT DISTRICT:
This was like nothing i have ever seen before and so much different than i expected it to be. There are just windows after windows like STORE windows basically with red lights aboved them. Inside is a room setup very similar to a bedroom with the curtains drawn open....and WOMEN just SIT in these windows waiting for the tons of gross intoxicated men to walk by and PICK THEM to have sex with or do whatever in the bed that you can see through the window. They pay the prostitutesl ike 50 Euros a half hour and the lady draws the curtains and they sexualize. But the women in the windows are dressed half naked and range from ages 18-50 i would say. Some are extremley pretty and some are pretty heinous. It is so depressing and at the same time so surreal and intriguing. We found these backalley cabinets of prostitutes in windows....they are like all over the place....all shapes....all sizes...all colors. I would have to say caitlin and i were maybe 2 of 7 girls i saw on the whole street....the rest were flocks of men just GAWKING.
On the Museums:
SO far....the medevial torture museum: HAHAHA INTERESTING AND AWESOME the sex museum: AWESOME and mildyly awkward...lots of sex
On CoffeeShops:
Ok this is so ridiculous. You just go in and look at a menu and you can order spliffs, joints, and up to 5 grams of marijuna or hash. Caitlin, Bran, and I ate space cakes made with the hash from this coffeeshop called DOLPHINS: which was 3rd place cannabis cup winning hash....bran and i ate ONE AND A HALF. CAN I JUST SAY THAT WAS SOPHMORE YEAR STYLE HIGH....complete with body trips and everything else. i was having a blast just walking around the city looking at everything. BRAN on the other hand...had never eaten it and got absolutley fucking ridiculous and vomitted several times from being TOO HIGH and asked many times if his HANDS were BLINKING?! WHAT?! hahahhaa. I have purchased the 2000Cannabis Cup winner pot: WHITE SMURF for 12 bucks/2 grams. NICCE.
On the improv comedy show we went to:
FISH AND I WON BEERS FOR HAVING GOOD SUGGESTIONS and SCREAMING THEM OUT BELILGERENTLY.
The travelling will make thsi trip amazing....homesick still? FOR SURE.
