Candlemas
I'm working on ritual for the Pagan Celebration of Ground Hog's Day.
Going to need to MEMORIZE because no light other than tealights.
Lots and lots of tealights.
Circle of candles lit around alter.
Silence as we enter circle.
Black mirror with big white candle on center of alter.
I come to this circle with (yada yada yada)
Hail and welcome (east, south, west, north).
Hail Bridget.
Hail Prometheus.
Talk about being ready to bloom but needing to reserve ourselves for a big push.
Chant Options:
"Fire flow free. Fire flow through me."
"Weave our hands by candle light. Build our stores this Midwinter Night."
"First there is a mountain then there is no mountain then there is."
"Journey down to come back up. The planted seed is ready to sprout."
"Air I am. Fire I am. Water, Earth, and Spirit I am."
We build a cone of light for ourselves, our community and our world.

Cakes and Ale by candlelight.
