It's a nice little episode with a slightly Christmassy vibe, but I think it still suffers from being part of the handover to Cartmel, before he really hit his stride with the series.

What a great picture! I always figured that when she grew up, that little girl would have made a great companion--friendly, curious, and fearless. ;)

She would have done, though I was struck in this viewing at how little she interacts with the rest of the cast. I can see what they were getting at with her, but I'm not 100% sure her bystander role quite works.

I see yr point! We watched this in the last yr or so, and she's a cute little girl w/ little to do.
