♛: my “FOREVER” pairing: Within Germany, I'm not sure I actually really have one? There's Jens Lehmann/Freddie Ljungberg, the OTP of my heart forever, but Freddie isn't German and it's really more of an Arsenal thing. Philipp Lahm/bitter singleness? Is that a thing? It's really my favorite. ♔: my “sometimes” pairing (if i’m in the mood): Schweinski. I was never super into it, but sometimes it just feels right (and has good stuff in it). 旦: my “friends-with-benefits” pairing: Thomas Müller/Mario Gomez. (I actually have this headcanon where Lisa hands Thomas off to Mario, so he can experiment somewhere safe with someone who'll treat him right and send him back when done.) ☆: my “adele” pairing : Lukas Podolski/David Odonkor. What, I don't care if no one remembers Odo, I do, damn it. ☁: my “angst” pairing: Bastian Schweinsteiger/Mario Gomez. There's a lot of potential emotional issues there. ✖: my “hate sex” pairing: I don't know, honestly. I feel like much of the appeal of the German NT is the sense that they all like each other within it- to really make a hate-sex pairing, you'd have to put a German with a non-German. (From the Spanish NT preferably.) ۞: my “working on it” pairing: Philipp Lahm/Arne Friedrich. There's clearly chemistry there, and Arne is gorgeous, but as a Hertha fan I don't trust him. ℨ: my favorite threesome: Mario Götze/Marco Reus/Nuri Sahin. Not strictly German NT, since Nuri plays for Turkey, but German enough. I'm actually not much of a threesome person, but I feel that this one works. ☄: my crack pairing of choice: man, this is football, nothing is crack! but I did intend to write a Mario Götze/Mario Gomez fic so let's go with that.
