About Jonathan Glover, who played a brilliant devil on the tv show Brimstone.
I'm not sure why or how, but for a period of time in the 90s, FOX had some of the most innovative and original series on television. Sadly, because of this unique set up, these shows rarely survived for long and were often buried as post-game filler or were lucky enough to be resurrected on cable channels. Take Futurama for example or the Adrian Pasdar program Profit which was about a psychotic lawyer that would give Dexter a run for his money.
Brimstone was a program about Detective Ezekiel Stone, a cop who killed the man that raped his wife -and got cleared of charges for it- then was sent to hell a few months later when he was killed in an accident. Years later, he's returned to earth by the Devil himself in order to bring back 113 escaped souls. Each of these souls is represented by dozens of tattoos scattered all over Ezekiel's body (save for his hands and face). Not only does Ezekiel have to deal with working for the Devil in a near never-ending quest, but he also has to keep a low enough profile so as to not run into anyone who knows that he's returned from the dead. Also, as a risen soul, much like the other escapees, Stone finds himself unable to be wounded by mortals or bleed when injured. However the longer a soul was in Hell, the more powerful they got. Thusly why Stone had such a long road ahead of him with only a mocking, sarcastic, vaguely-helpful, often flirtatious Devil.
It stars Peter Horton as Det. Stone, Jonathan Glover as the Devil, and as a reoccuring character there's Lori Petti as Maxine, who owns the hotel where Stone lives.

The $36.27 is specific in the car scene (4:13-5:37) is because every morning Det. Stone wakes up with that amount of money in the one pair of clothes he owns, and his issued pistol on his person as it's exactly what he had when he died.
It's really just a brilliant show!
