rockin' around the christmas tree

Dec 21, 2008 21:34

It snowed today. I worked the opening shift and a few minutes after we opened the doors I noticed the snow starting to fall. It never stopped. It snowed all day long! David shovelled the front walk twice before Mark came to plow the driveway and walkway for us.. it was pretty nuts. It is hard to believe that all the snow was gone about a week ago. We have more than enough to make a white Christmas now! According to weather forecasts it is supposed to keep snowing for the next few days. I'm glad we are taking the train to Ottawa and not driving!

Today's forecast: Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! and then some more SNOW!

Today is the 21st which means I have two more shifts at the bux before my vacation starts and boy am I looking forward to some vacation. It is pretty nice right now at the store because all the students are gone and the snow keeps dumping all over Kingston so business has been quite predictably slow. It is nice to have a bit of a breather where we can float through the day and get some intense cleaning done, but I'm glad it not like this all the time.

This is our little Christmas tree :) We just put it together and decorated it the other night. I managed to make it look a lot less Charlie Brown this year with the garlands filling it in. I'm quite pleased with the result :) I even had some left over garland to make a "wreath" around the clock :D
