up the wazoooo
so apparently the boil water fiasco effectively slurped up every last bit of my desire to write in this livejournal. thank god that's over now!
first of all, since you keep asking, my show is going really well and we have performance #12 tonight. hard to believe it's been only a week since it started running. also difficult to grasp: i am leaving here in just two weeks! i will definitely miss the cast & crew from this show, especially all the fun moments backstage with new sports such as "baker ball" and "knife ball" as well as more traditional things like juggling and learning how to crochet. additionally there are several points in the show that we mark backstage by copying the cheesy over-the-top blocking or choreography. i love it! haha
i've been watching SO many movies lately. last night i saw Saved, which was funny but probably would have been funnier if it didn't disturb me so much! it just reminded me of a lot of people i know. sad, isn't it! i saw Connie & Carla a few days ago - omg amazing! What else have I seen lately? I've been averaging a movie every other day, which is as shocking to me as an In-N-Out burger would be in NY. Did I mention I miss a lot of CA food? Actually it's not the lack of CA food that bothers me, it's the lack of VARIETY. There is no Thai, sushi, mexican, indian...anything with lots of flavor. Bakersfield is a culinary goldmine to me now that I've been here in Auburn. There is a good prime rib special at the place down the street called Daut's (pronounced like "dots"), but give me cheap mexican food any day and I'll be content.
Well..I'm doing laundry and need to go move it to the dryer. Wish me luck (not joking...the dryers are crazy here)! ciao friends
