So what the heck is going on? Here’s the update…
Just got myself a degree. A couple weeks ago I received my Bachelors of Science in Biblical Theology along with a double minor in Youth Ministry and Counseling. 4 years at RBC finally done and I have a piece of paper to prove it. It’s definitely gonna feel weird when August rolls around and I’m not going back there. I don’t think that it will even hit me until then. It’s gonna be weird not being able to go next door at one in the morning to see if one of my boys wants to play Mario Kart or something.
But honestly, I’m glad it’s over. It was a long period of time. It had some ups, but it also had a lot of downs too. I learned a lot about the subjects I studied, but even more about myself, people, and how the world works. Now it’s all said and done and I’m glad. I’m sure I’ll miss it from to time to time though.
So what now?
Well, I’m 90% sure that I’m moving to Mechanicsville. I am awaiting word from Pole Green Church of Christ as to whether or not they want me to be their new youth minister. I went up a couple weekends ago for an interview. They had me preach and teach Sunday school. All that went well. Now I’m just waiting for the congregation vote to find out what’s going on.
The idea of moving leaves me both stoked and scared a little bit. It’s a new phase of life and I know those feelings are natural. It will be like anything. It will be new and intimidating at first, but once I get a feel for it, I’ll be ok.
I am stoked that I’ll be living close to Dave and Joe.
Other than that, I have been spending most of time being kinda lazy while I can. So far all I have been doing is working on my online classes, working out at the Y, and chillin around the house. There has also been the occasional chillin with people.
What can I say? Life is pretty good. I’m just waiting to see where it takes me next.
