Electric Head in Your Hands
The first part of "Awesome Weekend Trilogy" was this past weekend. This happens for me once every summer, not really planned too far in advance and it makes for a happy CHris.
Shall I recap the awesomeness of weekend one? Yes, yes I shall!
Friday
-Improv double date with AnimeAngel and Doc Teng, 2 awesome people who I dont get to hang out with enough. There was a Gamestop run, a toy/comic run, and dinner run. Shit was cash, they're an awesome couple, X-cosplay was plotted, and I got Dynasty Warrior Gundam 2, Eternal Sonata, and Mirro's Edge, plus Invincible volume 6 and 7.
Bay Ridge chillage that night consisted of Sir John of Baker, Tiffany, Ray, and Flip-Flop, and Katsu. Went to bed wayyy to late, got up way to early.
Saturday
-We ran late getting out of Bay Ridge, due to ourselves being...ourselves. We acquired a Judy and VY, and made it down to PA, where we ran into the like of Shotzy, Cool Mike, Tom, Dani, Darc, ATG, his Tiffany, Jenni of the Lady Hawke variety, Cat, and some cool new people like Michelle and her crew. There was kites poorly "flown", the man taking our shitty beer (but not our Hatorade!), delicious nom noms, and good times had by all. And cosplay. Not me, but ppl did cosplay god bless em!
We should have slept when we got back home but fuck that shit, it was time for another party! Chibiko, John, Ray, Flippy and Sean Ewing all came over for computer/video game based fun. Sean had "Red Faction Guerilla Radio" which has a multiplayer mode call "Wrecking Crew". It's a minute long destruction game, I shit you not. Multiplayer game of the year confirmed!
Sunday
-Got up with Sean and John and met up with Lynette, NuJoel, and Co.
-Japan Day in NYC was kinda bust with heat, lines and shitty cosplay. We lasted an hour there.
-Went over to Ooki Sushi which was down the block from Mario's which was delicious!
-Hung out with Mario, Alex, John and Alina, who is tiny and cute. Played videya, learned who Katsu's dad was and lol, swam and dinnered.
Now
Been up for wayy to long. Need sleep.
