Entertainment
This is what all humans of shapes, sizes and colors enjoy. It's what we live for. Today, it is the reason you purchased that 60 inch plasma. Or saved up for so you could get those pioneer component speakers for your civic. Or the 2,000 dollars you spent on ebay for an xbox360.

Wait, wait. That's not entertainment. Or is it?
Isn't entertainment just having a good time? Since when did it turn into a race to have all of the coolest things to be able to entertain? Would your guests not visit you if you didn't have a video ipod? What's going on here? Since when did being entertained and living luxoriously mean that we had to spend hundreds of billions of dollars on big macs every year? How come nobody picks up a good book, or tell some good ghost stories around the fire? What's so bad about reading up on the history of your town or taking a few stills of the field on the first snow?

I think the answer is simple. And I think that if you could find this in a larger fraction of todays youth the entire country would be a little bit different. imagination. Where did it go? How come only children can pretend they're guarding a castle with wooden sticks for swords and halloween costumes to kill the afternoon? Do we feel that we would be wasting our time if we weren't productive? Is it because of the amount of time that's spent trying to juggle work, school, family, friends, and emotions? Do we spend any time considering why we spend no time thinking that we aren't living the right way.

If you questioned someone about the way they live their life, anyone, and you could bring them outside of the box they're in, they still wouldn't believe you. And the older they get, the more difficult it is. It's instilled on us from a young age not to believe something different. Children don't have this problem because they view the world much differently. Children have imagination. They say things that we think may be bizarre or unrealistic. But that doesn't mean they don't have a grip on what's real or not. Having an imagination is frowned on. "C'mon, cut it out, there's no monster under your bed."

If we had a little bit more imagination, it would make those ghost stories more scary. It would bring back the nostalgic feeling snow gave you when you were a child. And you wouldn't need that 50,000 dollar lexus with that fun little button you can press to tell you how many miles it's been since you purchased your last big mac.

I keep havin' this dream
I'm pushin' Hailey on the swings
She keeps screamin' she don't want me to sing
"You're makin' Mommy cry"
"Why? Why is Mommy cryin'?"
"Baby Daddy ain't leavin' no more"
"Daddy you're lyin'"
"You always say that, you always say this is the last time"
"But you ain't leavin' no more, Daddy you're mine"
She's pilin' boxes in front of the door
Tryin' to block it
"Daddy please, Daddy don't leave, Daddy, no stop it"
Goes in her pocket, pulls out a tiny necklace locket
It's got her picture
"This'll keep you safe, Daddy take it with ya"
I look up, it's just me standin' in the mirror
These stinkin' walls must be talkin'
Cause man I can hear 'em
They're sayin' you got one more chance to do right
And it's tonight

We have so many problems. This artist insults you -yet you love it because of how correctly he plays his two character roles.
