Mount Royal is really interesed in becoming a full credited university. So obviously, they're interested in "stealing" undergraduates from other Universities. Here's why they won't succeed:
I applied for UBC on December 28, 2008. I was offered admission on January 29, 2009. That's 32 days. They needed to receive all my transcripts (3 institutions) from another province.
I applied to MRC on December 12, 2008. I still have yet to hear from them, even though they have all my transcripts prior to me even applying. If I was a high school graduate, I might not wait around for MRC to tell me, I'll probably take the first offer. Why would I wait around for a college with 1/20 the population! Ridiculous.
