I went to the Art Institute for a year and a half before quitting. I didn't regret it for a long time because I realized art was something I wanted more as a hobby, and not my life. Not being in school never phased me until about a month ago. I was sitting in my old shitty job (SOOOO glad I'm outta there) and I looked around and thought, "what the hell am I doing with my life?" I knew if I kept going like this I was never going to make more than 12 dollars an hour with no respect.
No joke, two days later I quit my full time job. I am back working part time at a bookstore (feels soooo good to be back!) and am starting school in the spring to work on my AA.
I feel like personally, I wasn't "mature" enough to take college seriously the first time around.
I'm excited this time.
