He made it back to the manor about fifteen minutes ago, freezing his ass off. The first matter was making sure the fireplace was working. The second was delievering a written report to Xanxus. And the third was monopolizing previously mentioned fireplace in that comfy chair while sipping on hot cocoa to get to cold out of his bones. In fact,

Belle is grumpy. Not murderous grumpy, just grumpy enough that the subordinates have the common sense to stay the hell away from her. She's been stomping through the mansion for the past few hours, in an attempt to hide her worry. Squalo still isn't completely healed from last time, and he was due back an hour prior. What if he'd gotten hurt again?

She turns irritably and enters the room with the fireplace.

Squalo peers over the back of the couch at her, takes a sip of his cocoa, and looks back towards the fire.

She sighs quietly and moves to drape herself over his shoulders, propping her chin on the top of his head.

"You look comfortable."

He doesn't mind, of course. Mmm, more warm. "First time in days."
