Mission Accomplished!

Operation "Find Laura a Sadies Date" worked out very well!

For those who don't know, I asked Andy Yan, Senior Class VP, to Sadies today.

I had to borrow Victor Lee's digital camcorder to film it myself. After three takes, I was ready to edit it on my computer (I just downloaded Movie Maker for this purpose). However, I discovered my computer didn't have a firewire, so I had to go over to Kaitlin's house to edit the whole thing and burn it onto a CD. THEN, because I don't have a DVD burner, I had to run over to Scott's house so he could make it into a DVD.

After many additional complications this morning, I eventually successfully showed the DVD in leadership class. It played "Dancing in the Moonlight" by Toploader in the background! man, i <3 that song. In the movie, I ask him to the dance by typing "Andy, will you go to Sadies with me?" in my TI-83+ calculator because that's what I did Freshman year to ask him. yes, i'm a dork, i know.

It was SO CUTE because immediately after he sees the calculator scene, he busts out his TI-83+ and types out "Yes I will" like he did Freshman year. hahaha. :)

I also baked Andy some yummy triple chocolate cookies (milk & white chocolate chips in a chocolate dough), just in case "embarrassing myself in front of the whole class wasn't enough to get a yes." Afterall, the way to a guy's heart is through his tummy, right?

Since pictures > words, I would love to show you guys the video.

(i love you Janet! Thanks!)

Oh man, I can't believe this is going to be my last Sadies! At least I got to ask in style for my last time. Very fun.

What should I wear? I really want to be Catwoman and have Andy be my Batman, since the theme is Sadies in the City, but where the heck am I going to find an affordable full-body leather cat suit by next Friday? :P Well, we'll see. Maybe something will turn up.
