Title: Reaching back to Childhood

Summary: Snow fight!
AN: Unbetaed as written in a flash of last minute inspiration - from Andy Goldsworthy quote “Snow provokes responses that reach right back to childhood.”
I realise this is really early in the day. Stayed up to post it on right day as I'll probably be out all day tomorrow.
“I declare war on you!” Merlin called as he hurled a snowball towards Gwen. She giggled, and didn’t even bother to move as the snowball flew in a completely different direction and hit Arthur on his backside as he was pushing a large ball of snow to make a snowman’s body.
Arthur turned around with a glare to see who had thrown the missile, missed Merlin’s wide-eyed look of horror and saw Morgana smirking instead. So he threw a snowball at her.
It hit Gwen.
Morgana gave Arthur a look that could have frozen fire and pelted a snowball, hard, towards his face. He side-stepped it neatly. It hit Merlin.
Merlin weighed up his options and decided he was far more afraid of Morgana than anyone else so threw a handful of snow into Arthur’s face.
Which was when Arthur abandoned all idea of a proper snow fight, launched himself at Merlin with a half-angry, half-laughing shriek and knocked him to the ground where they wrestled each other and rolled in the snow, trying to push each other’s face into the cold slush. At which point Gwen and Morgana decided to leave them to it and went back into the warmth of the castle.
