yet another form of Chinese torture.
Class is difficult. Period.
I figure that I am at least 1-2 levels (years) behind the other students in my class. :'(
I'm sticking with it though, as it is only a non-matriculated course and I need boost my level to get into the next class. The professor, knowledgeable (read: crazy intelligent for a non-native speaker) and willing to work with me, said he'd even recommend me if I were in need of it to the other professors in the Asian Lang & Lit Dept. He sees that I'm trying my best to stay afloat in this class, and doing an okay job of it. Said that I may continue on, as long as I didn't care what grade I would get. Yes, I laughed and cried at this point. Hehe. I suppose I can add "bluntly honest" to the good professors characteristics.
