Xin chào, Mayfield. I hope you find yourselves well following the party which just occurred. [Well, not really. She doesn't actually care; she's just saying it to be polite- not that you can tell, as her tone is warm and placid. Onward to the actual point of this phone call:]
My anh- brother- China, has returned, as many of you may already know. [There is a beat filled with barely-tense silence.] Please be kind to him. Unfortunately, he will not be available for a while until he discovers a way to escape... [This last part trails off so softly that you probably imagined what she just said! Yes, there's no way she really said something so suspicious. No way at all.] ...Phải! I believe that is all.
[She hangs up.
About half an hour later, she can be found at 768 Bunker Street. But she's not inside- she's standing on the front porch, in front of the door, with a large permanent marker on her hand.
What is she doing?
She's drawing [CENSORED]s all over the door, of course! A perfectly sensible thing to do on a beautiful Sunday morning. Why aren't you drawing [CENSORED]s on your relatives' doors?
This will only make sense to China and herself. To everyone else? She's going to look a little bit crazier than usual. But đầu xuôi đuôi lọt- a good beginning is half the battle.
The [CENSORED]s are all shockingly anatomically correct, by the way.]
