[looks up on his way to town and sees part of a bed sticking out the window... what is even going on here, is he witnessing the world's slowest attempted murder of a bed-ridden hospital patient.

oh well whatever just gonna cup his hands around his mouth and shout up to the window]

You had better hurry, the police might take notice at this rate!

[At this distance, she can't discern the owner of the voice, so Charles will witness the bed pausing, as if in thought, before wiggling again with renewed vigor.]

[and he's just going to stay and cheer on the mysterious murderer because he really has nothing better to be doing with his time right now and he'd rather be here than going to school.]

I'm not sure how else to free it...

You needn't push it from the window at all, you know. It's not exactly inconscpicuous, but a good fire does wonders.

she'll make the effort to poke her head out of the window.]

[is that the soon-to-be murderer? he leans away from the building a little and tilts his head back in an attempt to get a good look at this person and she

looks way too familiar for his comfort. her employment here had kind of slipped his mind and boy is he regretting that now!]

going to return his exact expression.]

[the worst luck!!

but he promised himself he wouldn't be bothered by these things anymore, and his expression shifts easily into a smile. he's a chiropteran, after all - not a human.]

Feeling better, are you?

[a pause, then.]

Wait for me!

[she disappears from the window, and will be trying to get down those five flights of stairs now, no matter how scary Charles's expression is.]
