So, I think this will be my entry on work. I haven't written in my journal for awhile, and I feel it might be therapeutic.
Work is crazy. I feared that factory work would be crazy, and sort of expected it going in. Crazy in what manner? Crazy in the manner that you zone in to doing your job so fast and efficiently that you forgot that you exist. Sometimes I seem to wake up from a daze and I am like, "Whoa! What am I doing? I am in a factory doing work... oh yeah." Like that has happened to me a few times, and Brandon Highland has the same problem. It just seems pretty unreal at times.
So if work is crazy at times, what's so good about it? $10.83/hour to do mindless work isn't bad. Working with Brandon Highland is awesome. That guy keeps me on track and talking with him makes the days go by quicker. The pretty forklift lady makes the day go faster. I told one of my co-workers, Jackie, that I thought the forklift lady was cute, so she was destined to make sure she knew. Fortunately the only person who she knew who talked to the forklift lady was Marlon. Marlon later told me she was 26, has 2 kids, and currently has a boyfriend. Thankfully nothing happened. I was pretty embarassed for a week of co-workes harassing me. It's gravy though. I watch her drive by sometimes. She's cute.
Bad things about work: being at CME for 8.5 hours. Sometimes days can drag on forever! Metal splinters. Lots of the parts aren't perfectly smooth on the edges and sometimes metal splinters will get into your hands, even through gloves. Another bad thing is that the Mexican quit. THE MEXICAN WAS AWESOME! He had an awesome Rat Tail Mullet thing going on! He was also a gang banger down in Indy. He has a skin graph scar to show where he got his arm cut in a knife fight and how it got infected and needed to get a skin graph. It was pretty gross looking... but man, THE MEXICAN HAD MY BACK! HE TOLD ME SO! WE WERE BROTHAS! Oh yeah, he also periodically screamed "BANG" or "POW" at the machines and make the shape of a gun with his hand. Oh and he also talked like -214094823098 WPM... it took him like a minute to spit out a sentence. BUT I MISS THAT GUY! HE WAS BRANDON AND I'S ENTERTAINMENT!
ANYWAY, NIN in 6 days!!!!!!! Anjee and I are leaving early Saturday morning I think to go dress shopping with Kara in Coldwater, MI? Then Anjee and I are going to head up to my grandma's. Good times. I am out. I plan on updating atleast once more before I leave for Detroit... if i remember. Bye guys!
