Fanfic question...
Are you ever working on a fic and come up with a line to use and then gone - 'Oh shit, I'm not sure if I really came up with that or if it has just lodged itself in my memory from another fic I've read?'
I'm working on an Luke/Mara fic at the moment - the line is; "He had given up on love - she just didn't believe in it." But it sounds rather familiar and I am concerned that I've actually subconsciously stolen it from another fic. I was wondering if anyone else had seen it before (or maybe it is just a fic cliche in general?)
