Very well written and a great insight into Robin's thoughts while he was in the Holy Land. I love your descriptions of Robin, that you can still see the boy he was, although it is now partially buried by the man ^_^
That was wonderful, you got Robin's character spot on. It worked really well, the whole thing. And the angsty!Marian views, oh they make me want to pet Robin's head XD
A fascinating take on pre-series Robin. Your description of him was spot on (is this after he was injured, but before he went back?) - and the description of the surroundings and the encounter was so beautifully written. I also found the prostitute a fascinating character as well - her life in her own right, as well as the way that she interacted with Robin and vice versa. It's so tinged with angst - and whilst I definitely enjoyed it, now it's making me a little bit worried for Season 3.
Thank you! I think of this as set pre-injury - but it's open to interpretation either way! I think Robin was already severely delusioned by the time the incident happened. I did enjoy writing the prostitute character - keeping her as an outsider looking in but also giving her enough character to be interesting. Glad it worked well!
'She had seen that look before - of a man that had long ceased to hope, but clung to the notion because he did not know what else to do. ' Beautiful line, it brought tears to my eyes.
