Syphillis, like Gonorhea, is a bacteria. It can be treated with large amounts of pennecillin.
Before the advent of mass produced penecillin in WWII, or it's earlier discovery, doctors obsereved patients with high fevers to be cured sometimes, of syphillis. This is because the bacteria needs specific temperatures to live in.
So the whole point of my story is, that at one point, doctors treated syphillis, with malaria.
At the time they were able to treat malaria with quinine. I think.
So lets change the subject: I swear I saw a documentary about people supplying subdermal quinine as birth control to India, except now, I can find no information about anything like that. Ag! Stupid false memories.
