Life
It has been almost a month and I thought I would post and keep those who may be interested up to date on my life.
School:
Is stressful at the moment. I am behind on Math and am working to catch up. Also we have our first test on next Tuesday. I have put in a request at the math tutoring facility for a tutor. The feeler has been put out by the manager to his employees for those interested in extra hours. Now I just have to wait and see.
Accounting is also possibly going to be a sore in my behind. This isn't the credits and debits types of account, it is managerial accounting.....word problem accounting of me trying to weed out the pertinent information of the jumbled mess of info I am given in order to do the correct functions to come up with the answer as the end result.......needless to say I feel like I am barely treading water in that class. Trying to rationalize out what all the components I need in order to get X answer that they want isn't my strong point. I want all the info I i can just plug into an equation a memorized.....alas, it doesn't work that way though.
Work:
Is going good. I took today and tomorrow off so I can get help and play catch up. Hopefully I will be able to catch up/ get help with understanding/ and not have to take off any more days for school until finals roll around.
Home life:
My officially ex brother-in-law has moved out of the basement. So now I have been trying to get the basement prepared for when I move back into it. I have painted one of my walls red (yay). It took a tinted primer and 3 coats of the red to do so, but it is done. I will keep the rest of the walls the same color, but will have to do some sanding down and touch ups with the left over paint so that it all looks nice. Unfortunately I am a little rushed with moving back downstairs. My sister will be going out of town for two weeks at the end of the month, so my niece and nephew will be staying at the house during that time. So I am to attempt to get all my crap out of the room and downstairs so that mattresses can be set up for the munchkins in my soon-to-be old room. Not fun when I am attempting to juggle school and work at the same time.
Relationship:
Is going very well. Will has been an angel in being supportive of me trying to catch up in math. He has also been very good in dealing with my negativity when trying to help me understand my math homework. As I have said many times is that math is not my best subject and I appreciate all his efforts to help me understand it.
Future Events
Nuke Con:
Of course already have my reservations and as a bonus, my friend Nikki will be staying with Will and I during Nuke-Con. She sponsor's her schools RPG club and so her students will be there for a day enjoying the experience of Nuke-Con.
Nano-con:
Still need to make reservations for......will be doing that in a bit when I can find a private spot to make the reservations.
Mile-Hi:
Alas, won't be going due to wanting to stay focused with the semester, plus trying to save money.
Genghis Con:
Need to start saving/planning
Opus Con:
Need to determin if 6S is going or not and start saving/planning
Mage-Spring:
Always a definite, though it will come close to finals.....I may just stay cooped in the room to study and pop out every now and again to socialize briefly.
Gen Con:
Already have reservation and roommates. Still currently planning and will continue to do so till every detail is ironed out. (Squeee)!
Mage-South:
Always a must as a regular
I thing that sums up my life and what is going on currenly. I know this is a long post but is has been almost a month.
