TITLE: Number XIII
CHAPTER: Three
PAIRING: Sakurai x Aiba
RATING: PG13?
SUMMARY: “I am number thirteen,” A deep, almost musical voice rumbled, “And to you, that means death,”
“Drop your trousers and let me get a look at you,”
“I’m sorry, what?!“
“You heard me,” Aiba said calmly, taking Sho by his elbow and leading him into his living room. Shocked, Sho allowed himself to be led and sat down on the sofa with only a gentle push from Aiba.
“Pull them down,” Aiba repeated, “I can’t see your cut when you’ve got your jeans on,”
Sho spluttered and pulled himself together, “I’m not removing my trousers,”
“Because I’m not a nurse? Wait one sec,” Aiba disappeared through the door and Sho got back to his feet, taking the chance to limp towards the front door.
However, just as he reached the hallway, Aiba appeared in front of him, cutting off not only his escape, but the part of his brain that allowed him to both think and speak.
“Ta-dah!” Aiba grinned, spinning around to let Sho get a better look at him, “Now I’m a real nurse, so get back into the living room and strip!”
Sho stumbled backwards as Aiba stepped towards him, unable to do anything but gawk.
The man had a pale pink nurse’s uniform on, complete with a stethoscope around his neck and a little pink hat perched on the top of his head. The dress stopped quite far above his knees at about mid-thigh, and had a little white cross embroidered into the pocket on his chest. Of course, he still had his jeans on underneath as he had thrown it on quickly, but it still didn’t leave much to the imagination.
“Sho-yan,” Aiba said, falling to his knees in front of Sho and reaching for his fly with both hands, “You need to take your trousers off so Nurse Masaki can see you,” He looked up at Sho through his eyelashes, his huge doe like eyes wide and full of hope and mischief.
Sho shook his head, his face burning.
“What the fuck are you wearing?!” He exclaimed, continuously stumbling backwards until the back of his knees hit Aiba’s sofa.
“Last years Halloween costume,” Aiba shrugged, pulling the stethoscope from his neck and tossing it onto the coffee table, “Now hurry up, I need to clean that up. Besides, you’re getting blood on my floor,”
Sho looked down to see a few drops of blood dotting the floor in a trail to the sofa.
“Sorry,” He said, “But.. Just cut the trouser leg. I’m not taking them off,”
“Why not?” Aiba snorted, “You have boxers on, right? No need to be shy!”
Sho cleared his throat and his cheeks flushed a gentle shade of pink, “I.. Uh.. My trousers are very tight, you know,” He mumbled, “No.. uh.. No room for them,”
“For..? Oh,” Aiba looked down at Sho’s hips and grinned, “You’re going commando? Do you do that often?”
“No! Only when I..” Go on missions. Sho trailed off before he could finish his sentence. It was important for him to wear very tight trousers when he was out, as it prevented him from getting caught on anything. The only problem was, there was no space for his boxers.
“.. Forgot to do my laundry,” Sho finished lamely, his cheeks still pink.
“How can you forget to do laundry?” Aiba laughed, “And how many pairs do you have? You don’t even have a spare?”
“If I did, I would be wearing them,” Sho snapped, still embarrassed.
Aiba shrugged, “Whatever, put a cushion over your hips then, I need to see how bad your thigh is bleeding,”
“You know,” Sho squeaked when Aiba reached for the waistband of his trousers, “I think I’ll look at it myself when I get home!”
However, when Sho got to his feet, Aiba seized the chance to grab his fly and yank it down so hard that it pulled Sho off balance. Sho yelped and grabbed the side of the sofa to balance himself as he toppled sideways, giving Aiba the chance to pull his trousers down.
Sho spun around, landing on his backside and pulling a cushion over his lap before Aiba could get an eyeful.
“You’re so cute, Sho-yan,” Aiba laughed, “Getting all worked up over this. We’re both guys, you shouldn’t be embarrassed. I mean, I see what you have everyday when I get undressed, because I have a Junior, too,”
Sho choked but had no time to do anything else, because Aiba was already dropping to his knees and pushing the cushion up higher so he could see the slice on Sho’s thigh.
“Sho-yan,” Aiba breathed, leaning down towards Sho’s hips, “Nurse Masaki needs to inspect you to make sure you’re alright. Sho-Junior looks like he needs extra care..”
Sho jerked as Aiba touched his skin around the slice, averting his eyes in shame.
“Hmm,” Aiba hummed, “It doesn’t look too deep, which is good. I think a bandage should be alright,” He swivelled around on his backside and bent over, trying to reach the first aid box without getting up.
“But,” Aiba said, looking back over his shoulder, “Masaki likes it deep,”
“Okay, thanks! I’ll be leaving now!” Sho cried, his voice breaking as he scrabbled to pull his trousers back up his legs.
“No!” Aiba said, placing a hand on his knee to keep him seated, “Jesus, at least let me wrap it! What’s wrong with you? Is it me? Am I that annoying?”
“Ah,” Sho said, slowly slumping back down onto the sofa, “No, I… I’m just… uncomfortable around people,”
Aiba snorted, “There’s no need to be uncomfortable around me. I’m not judging you or anything,”
Sho attempted to smile, but it turned out more like a grimace, “Yeah.. Sorry,”
Aiba nodded and unwrapped a bandage, “Lift your leg for me,”
“Lift your leg up for Masaki,” Aiba breathed, sliding a hand up Sho’s inner thigh and stopping just shy of his balls, “So Masaki can get up here with his mouth..”
Sho jerked his leg up off the sofa so hard that he almost kneed Aiba in the chin.
“Woah, it doesn’t need to be that high!” Aiba yelped, “I just need to get underneath with the bandage,”
After a few minutes of hell for Sho, the wrapping was finally done, and Aiba politely turned his back while he pulled his trousers back on. When he was done, Aiba turned back to face him, a grin on his face.
“That wasn’t so hard, was it?”
Well, in some ways it was, Sho thought, pulling his shirt down over his crotch, “Thanks,” He mumbled, giving a quick bow and heading for the door.
“Hey, Sho-yan!” Aiba said, chasing after him, “Do you.. Uh.. Want to go for dinner, tomorrow night? You know.. To uh.. Thank me properly?” Aiba’s cheeks turned a pretty pale pink, but his eyes stayed firmly on Sho’s.
Sho said nothing for a moment, but then nodded, “Alright then. But only to thank you. Don’t you have work?”
“Tomorrow is my day off,” Aiba said simply, “I’ll pick you up at seven, okay? Oh, and this time?” Aiba’s eyes drifted to Sho’s crotch, “Don’t forget to do your laundry!”
Aiba laughed as Sho turned bright red and made a dash out of the front door. He stared at the empty space where he had been for a few moments, before going to clean up the blood that was dotted around the floor of his living room.
“Ah!” He cried, jumping to his feet and dropping the cleaning equipment, “I need to book a table and get ready for tomorrow!”
---
Sho looked at the messy bandage on his thigh as he sat naked on his bed. Aiba was very kind to him, which was a first, but he couldn’t get too close.
“I’ll go for dinner, and not see him again,” He said to himself, “It isn’t safe for me to get distracted,”
With a sigh, Sho pulled back his covers and climbed into his bed, sliding his hand up under his pillow and touching the gun underneath with gentle fingers.
“I have no space in my world for fun and games,” He said softly, more to convince himself that he was doing the right thing.
Even if it made his heart clench.
