Smartphones?
Firstly, thanks to each and every one of you who commented on the last entry. I was going to thank everyone personally, reply to comments, etc... but I find the wound's too raw. (Still kind of in the denial stage, I guess) However I did read all your comments as they came in and just knowing people cared enough to comment helped. Maybe should have read them over some more cos I did some stupid stuff since then. But I don't want to talk about that.
I guess one good thing about being forced out of my mortgage... I'm going to have a bit more disposable income.
To get to the point. I want a new phone. The one I have got is a basic non browser phone and I want to get me a smart phone. But I know nothing about them. What do they do? What's a good one to get?What one's should I avoid like the plague? (can you update LJ with them?) What's all this crap about apps - is that just iphones or smartphones in general?
What's the benefit/disadvantage of an iphone compared to a non iphone? I don't like how the stupid itunes software takes over your computer (installed it once for a friend and couldn't get rid of it until I formatted!) but it might not be bad if there was a benefit? Ah, listen to me ramble.
